Moore & Alphin Office Policy
(Effective January 1, 2022)
In compliance with CDC guidelines, all people entering our office are required to (i) wear a mask, (ii) wash their hands prior to entering and (iii) maintain social distancing.
OFFICE HOURS. Our business hours will remain 8:15 a.m. – 5:15 p.m. However, we ask that only buyers (or necessary parties to a closing) with pre-scheduled appointments enter our office. If you do not have an appointment, please text or call our main number 919-787-8812 to set one up.
CASH CLOSINGS. We strongly recommend that cash closing buyers sign their documents electronically. Your assigned Closing Paralegal will assist you in this process.
SELLERS. We will not have in-office appointments for sellers. Sellers are encouraged to overnight or hand-deliver their signed, notarized documents for closing. If that is not possible, please contact your assigned Closing Paralegal for additional assistance.
POST-CLOSING CHECKS. Real Estate broker commission and Seller proceeds checks will be mailed or may be picked up from our office. If you are picking up a check, you do not need to make an appointment. However, please allow ample time for the Recorder’s Office to process recordings. No checks will be released until the underlying closing documents are recorded. Checks may be overnighted for a fee of $35 which must be included on the settlement statement.
IF YOU ARE SICK.
In order to best protect our staff, we require that any individual who is in one of the following categories please text or call us now to reschedule your closing appointment:
- Exhibiting any signs or symptoms of sickness
- Been in a hospital, nursing home, long term care or other health facility in the last 10 days
- Been in the vicinity of someone diagnosed with COVID-19 within the last 10 days
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work diligently to ensure that your real estate transactions are not delayed and to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

Why You Need a Raleigh Real Estate Attorney?
A closing attorney provides a variety of valuable services to home buyers by acting as their settlement agent, title examiner, advocate, and legal advisor. We provide all of these legal services to our home buyers, but we feel that our most important job is to thoughtfully and simply explain all of the financial and legal consequences that come with home ownership and a mortgage. This means that we take the time at each and every closing to explain all of the important loan documents, payment schedules, purchaser’s payment responsibilities, and any other challenges a new homeowner may face.
We do whatever it takes to ensure that you are prepared for your new home and all the responsibilities that come along with it. Our singular focus on real estate means that we bring a wealth of experience and legal knowledge to bear for you, helping and protecting you through every step of the process.
